With the Decision of 27^thJuly 2010 C (2010) 5291, the European Commission approved the annual program proposed by Italy in 2010 for the implementation of the European Fund for the Integration of citizens from third countries (FEI).

 The 2010 FEI Program identifies the following priorities for action:

• language and civic training;
• interventions in fovour of specific groups (women, children and young foreigners);
• information, communication and outreach efforts to mainstream the Community principle of bi-directionality;
• involvement of the foreign community with great presence in Italy to enable shared actions and raise the level of active participation of immigrants.

The 2010 FEI program provides a Community co-financing amounting to EUR 20,445,052.53, plus the share of national co-financing of EUR 8,945,052.53.

Public noticeswill be published later this year by the Responsible Authority of the Fund (Ministry of Interior - Department for Civil Liberties and Immigration, Central Directorate for Civil Services for Immigration and Asylum).
