We are happy to announce that one of the projects approved by the European Commission within the program Fundamental Rights and Citizenship is LIGHT ON, presented by Abruzzo Region in collaboration with Progetti Sociali, which will be implemented from the beginning of 2013 and the end of 2014.
Light ON aims to tackle the normalization of racism and its associated images and behaviours with a range of innovative and traditional community tools, but also targeting law enforcement professionals using a preventive and participatory approach that will put discrimination in the spotlight, and combating it.
For this ambitious initiative, the Region of Abruzzo and Progetti Sociali collaborate with European organizations that daily combat discrimination at various level: the great experience of each one will be an outstanding contribution for the LIGHT ON network against images of racism in Europe.
The consortium comprises seven countries, in addition to the contribution of organizations working at European and international level.
