A new research has been presented in Rome in the framework of the project "Metropolitan Mediation", which was co-financed by the European Fund for Refugees 2008 -2013 and promoted by the CRS-Caritas of Rome in partnership with other Italian organizations.
The report highlights the situation of marginality faced by hundreds of refugees and asylum seekers who live in "spontaneous settlements" in the cities of Rome, Florence and Milan, where - despite the obvious differences - there is an high number of individuals who have never entered or the regular circuit of reception and integration.
