Within the project SIMPLE, the department for Equal Opportunity of the Region of Abruzzo and the social enterprise Progetti Sociali have organized a transnational training seminar and open workshop that will focus on minority women and other vulnerable groups (as lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people), who often face a multiple discrimination that expose them to the complex interplay of racial and gender inequalities. Indeed, they suffer gender-based discrimination (perpetrated both within and outside their communities) and racially motivated discrimination connected to their ethnic minority background.
The aim of the two working days is to look at the best practice against racial and gender inequalities and present a governance model applicable in the Adriatic area. SIMPLE’s partners will look at these issues together with representatives from minority and migrant associations, mediators, social assistants, educators and professionals from the Region of Abruzzo and from the other countries partners of the project.
