The European Commission has published the Annual Work Plan 2012 of the European Program for Employment and Social Solidarity - PROGRESS. In the framework of the Europe 2020 Strategy, the Plan sets out the policy priorities activities that will guide next year’s funding priorities, which this year amounted to 99.207 million euros.
The main priorities for 2012 are:
- Designing evidence-based EU policies and legislation;
- Effecting information sharing/knowledge;
- Promoting high quality, participatory policy debate at EU and national level;
- Greater capacity networks to promote and develop policies and objectives related to Progress policy areas;
- Better integration of cross-cutting issues.
The European Commission has also communicated that the evaluation of the proposals received in 2011 – in response to the Calls for proposals for social experimentations (VP/2011/009) and Projects contributing to exchange of good practices (VP/2011/010), is still in progress and results will be available by May-June.
